Scorpio Guitars & Ukuleles LLC

I have always loved music and guitars in particular. I started building guitars in 2012. I fell in love with the wood, the process and fine tuning the sound. It is truly a labor of love. I cannot keep every guitar I make so I started Scorpio Guitars & Ukuleles to offer offer some of these instruments to others. Each instrument is a personal expression. Owning an instrument that you helped create and you love to hold will take your playing to the next level. Reach for the stars. I have studied under Robert O'Brien (http://www.obrienguitars.com) Charles Fox (http://www.americanschooloflutherie.com/) and Larry Robinson (https://www.robinsoninlays.com/) I am a member of the Guild of American Luthiers and the Inland Northwest Luthiers Association. I always strive for the highest quality and I back up what I sell with a limited lifetime warranty. Need some work done on any guitar or ukulele? Give me a call, my rates are reasonable. Finally, I got enough shop time to move this ukulele to the final steps. I should be putting strings on tomorrow.

I've been away from the shop for a while. Family stuff. Did some finish repairs. Remember, don't expose your guitar to humidity or temperature extremes. In this case, the guitar was put in an unheated trailer (in it's case) during the winter. This caused cracks in the finish.
Also worked on some stands I need for the upcoming La Conner Guitar Festival.

Applied and sanded off 3 coats of pore filler. Made a bridge, determined its exact location, and masked the footprint for finishing. Applied several coats of shellac as a base coat. Set up the spray booth and applied a couple of coats to get things started.
